Health and Safety

Kinder Interiors guiding principle is to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our workforce and our clientele.  To help us to achieve this we have developed a comprehensive and systematic approach to the health, safety and environmental aspects of our business.

Kinder Interiors have developed a reputation for enforcing stringent safety and environmental procedures throughout all of our processes.  On all of our projects, each individual process is detailed in a site specific safe system of work.  The documented systems are communicated to our operatives through a comprehensive induction to each site.  All information and procedures detailed during these inductions must be adhered to by all our operatives throughout all stages of each project.

We recognise that the ongoing training and education of our valuable workforce is a fundamental tool in helping us to promote and nurture the positive safety culture we have achieved within our organisation.

The direct result of the changes to our safety culture and internal accident trend analysis has led to a remarkable reduction in our annual accident statistics.

Kinder personnel have worked   696,000   man-hours since our last reportable accident.

All personnel within Kinders have their own unique personal development plans in place.  These plans assist us in identifying and enhancing each individuals training and development portfolio.

Before commencement all prospective site personnel must hold as a minimum an appropriate CSCS card having attended the touch screen test.  As a result of this we consistently achieve the CSCS Certificate of Commitment Platinum Standard Click here to view certificate.

Environmental

Kinder Interiors Ltd fully accepts and acknowledges our obligations under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, and all other regulations and amendments since that time.  It is the policy of our company to promote a positive safety, health and environmental culture within our organisation whilst continually striving to minimise the impact of our day to day activities on site.  To aid us in this, environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of our business processes through innovation and good practice.

At Kinder Interiors we recognise the key role of our employees in the implementation and success of this policy.  In order to assist us in achieving this we continually endeavour to positively promote environmental awareness at all levels of our organisation.  This is accomplished through the ongoing education and training of our valuable workforce, whilst supporting and encouraging their active participation.

Kinder Interiors were recently specifically selected by Armstrong World Industries to trial run their revolutionary recycling programme diverting ceiling waste from landfill to be recycled back into new tiles for future projects.  Their End-Of-Life (EOL) recycling scheme takes used mineral wool tiles and recycles them 100 percent into new ceiling tiles at its state-of-the-art Team Valley production facility in Gateshead.

Due to the hard work and diligence of our workforce, on the first project of this type we managed to achieve a total volume of 2,950 kilos of good material recycled into the manufacturing process with only 17 kilos of waste going to landfill.

Attached below are promotional advertisements produced by Armstrong, specifically detailing the environmental achievements which were made during the course of the project.

ISO 9001:2008 is the internationally recognised standard for quality.  Certification to this standard confirms our commitment to quality by undergoing the scrutiny of a third party certification body.  BM Trada performs independent reviews of our processes and procedures, to ensure we are working at optimum efficiency in all aspects of our company.  Working to this standard has lead to improvements in our communication, planning and administration, developing an improved mode of service for our customers.
